What if Christ, instead of suffering for humanity, had simply decided to laugh with it?Perhaps for centuries we have searched for the sacred in pain, guilt, and sacrifice, forgetting that laughter itself can be a form of enlightenment.Here, Christ does not redeem the world through blood.
He looks at it, understands it… and bursts out laughing.He laughs at our certainties, our fears, the wars fought in the name of God, our absolute truths, and above all, at our stubborn determination to take ourselves too seriously.His enormous belly is not merely flesh: it is the weight of humanity he carries within himself.
And yet, he smiles.Perhaps true salvation does not mean becoming perfect, but being able, at least for a moment,
to see the absurdity of existence without ceasing to love it.
Holy Laughter is a Christ who does not say “suffer with me,”
but rather:
“Guys… relax. It’s all much more absurd than you think.”
